neko’s 2017…

It’s the time of the year again to look back at the good, the bad or the average of the year and also appreciate those that have been a great help throughout the year.

In terms of work, it’s not a good year for me. Yes I work full-time. And my job is a 24×7 job too. Now you must be wondering where do I find the time to sub? LOL! Sometimes I myself wonder about that too!
Well, there’s a huge re-organisation within my company which causes me to take up more responsibility which translated to less time for me to spend in my subbing hobby. But luckily… This year instead of me doing timing by myself like what I did the previous years, I’ve met with group of dedicated people from viet subbing team in particular to step in to fill that role. Thank you CCCS, KitesVN and Anniecat. I know that I’m  finicky and demanding most of the time. Thank you for all your effort and to put up with me!

Donation – “Thank you” to those whom have donated on our donation run previously. We’ve got ourselves two lifetime membership of file storage account with filefactory and also 1fichier to cater for download request demand. And also have renewed our membership with Seesantv. (Just in case if you are wondering, this is where we got most of our HD RAW from.)
And for those who have bought me coffee. Just so you know, not too long ago I’ve stocked up on my Nespresso coffee pod, thanks to your contribution. If you are one of my instagram friend, you’d probably know that one of my “pick me up” would be stocking up coffee! It never fail to cheer me up every time! Just like a good cup of coffee! I think it have something to do with the colorful coffee pods. THANK YOU!

Facebook – There’s a few hiccup we’ve encountered throughout the year. The account got banned a few times because of some copyright strike. Well that’s why I dislike uploading video into facebook. Unable to put up new post in FB as it regards my DM post as spam. Warning from facebook that the personal account seems to be more like page rather than personal account posting. So that’s why the creation of A Neko Meow Meow Project page.  And the last straw was FB disabled the personal page of “Neko Meow Meow” that’s why “Me” (my big fat cat) no longer have a personal account anymore. FB demanded an ID proof for “Neko Meow Meow” in order for me to reactivate the account. Unfortunately “Me” doesn’t own one! Now don’t you feel FB is a bit racist that they doesn’t allow “Me” to own an account? “Me” have friends too you know! At least I he know kitkat’s “Nisa” and “Dao”! LOL! So there goes all my gaming profile. The virtual money which I’ve accumulated playing virtual slot machine. The hours which I’ve spent to candy crushing! Anyway luckily the page wasn’t affected. Let’s hope it stay that way!

Lakorn – Oh my gosh! Without realising I’ve completed 15 series/lakorn compare to 10 last year. And if I were to rank them to my preference. I’d say the ranking would be like this.

15. Yeut Fah Ha Pigat Rak ยึดฟ้าหาพิกัดรัก [Warden of The Sky]
As much as I’m a big fan of Mik. But looking at my sub selection, I’d say this would probably be the least I like. This started out good but then it just went down hill for me. I think partly it’s because I couldn’t stand Dr. Irene stubbornness! Luckily there’s the rest of the couple at the end to make up for it! 😛

14. Love Book Love Series : SECRET & SUMMER เผลอใจให้รักเธอ
Subbed this one solely because it’s WJMild and there’s only 4 eps! ^^’

13. So Sanaeha โซ่เสน่หา [Bounded by Affection]
If I remember correctly I jump into this one solely because of Peak. Still doesn’t get enough of her in Chanee Pee Plak. Any by the time I completed subbing this one I almost turn into Khun Nai Linjee! 😈

12. Thepphabut Maya Thepthida Jamlaeng เทพบุตรมายา เทพธิดาจำแลง [Masquerade Love]
Love the pra’nang. A “Conditional” Project which I’ve started in 2016. Featured a total of 19 songs. The most that I’ve ever seen in a lakorn.

11. Luk Tan Loy Kaew ลูกตาลลอยแก้ว [Undercover Love]
I remember that whenever I’m frustrated in subbing, I just turn to this one. A light hearted lakorn indeed.

10. Parakit Likit Huajai ภารกิจลิขิตหัวใจ
Sean’s acting is really good in this one. I have some good cry with this one! I’m thinking of revisiting Nang Barb. Still thinking…. That’s a topic for some other day! 😛

09. Chanee Pee Plak ชะนีผีผลัก
Like my cat, I’m afraid of ghost. But after watching a few episodes in workpoint youtube channel. I just know that I have to pick this up. Frankly, it’s not as scary as I thought! Khun Pang makes it so much more fun to watch. LOL! I’d say this one fall under comedy horror category!

08. Kammathep Ork Suek กามเทพออกศึก [Battle of Love]
Frankly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this part of Cupid. I jump into this one because of Cris Horwang!

07. Kammathep Hunsa กามเทพหรรษา [Cheerful Cupid]
The first installment of Cupid. I’d describe this with one word “cute” <3

06. Game Payabaht เกมพยาบาท [Game of Vengeance]
It was a long wait. But as a fan of Film, I think it’s worthy! 😛

05. Paen Rai Long Tai Wa Rak แผนร้ายลงท้ายว่ารัก
This one actually caught me by surprise! And the timing was impeccable as I was looking for new project after wrapping up So Sanaeha. And I must say, during that period of time, I’m really looking forward to every Monday to Friday. It was like a marathon subbing every day. And it was fun and encouraging when a lot of people join me in my PRLTWR marathon. We had a good 5 weeks run, don’t we? Thanks to everyone who have participated in expressing their feeling in this one. <3 <3 <3 Let’s marathon again maybe in another daily lakorn! ^^

04. Kon La Kop Fah คนละขอบฟ้า  [Different Lines of Horizon]
Grate! Hmm… What can I say other than Grate is great! 😛 I prefer to see him in bad boy rugged character rather than all suit up. Yes! I’m definitely looking forward to him and Saimai in My Heroes Series.

03. Nieow Huajai Sut Glai Peun เหนี่ยวหัวใจสุดไกปืน [The Spirit of the Ruler]
Among all the 15 lakorn. I’d say that this one would be the most cheezy romantic!

01. Mussaya 2017 มัสยา [Irresistible]
I couldn’t decide which I like better. So I’m going to have 2 number one instead. Just as the title have it, it’s really irresistible. Mookda officially make it to my fave nang’ek list.

01. Rak Gan Panlawan รักกันพัลวัน
Nong Nine! <3 <3 <3 I was tempted by Nong Nine and also the cute animals! No regret subbing this one. Love all the cast.

Obsession of this year….. Mik, Weir, Nong Nine, Grate, Mookda, Peak

Missing out… Golf Pichaya – I believe he’s working on one for Mono29 with Yong Armchai and Saiparn. So I hope we get to see that next year.

Blog – I’ve changed to a new theme. But not every pages have been fully integrated yet. We’ll get there in time. Good news for those who doesn’t like Dailymotion. I’ve provided an alternative streaming link other than openload. It’s a paid hosting so I hope I won’t hear any more complain about unable to watch the videos! Please follow the “Link” on the progress table and you should be able to view the alternative link! I’m already done with the newer projects. And slowly working my way to the older projects.

Next year….
Frankly, I have a few lakorn in mind that I wanted to sub. But it still depend very much on the timing when the lakorn will be air, and also my gut feel towards that lakorn. The pra’ek play a very important role in my decision making. You can’t expect me to sit in front of my laptop the whole day staring at someone who I doesn’t even enjoy watching, right?
At least I can say that I’m going to kick-start the year with Dome Pakorn, Margie Rasri & Pok Mindset’s Buang Rak Satan. I’m already counting down the day till it go on air. Yes! I’m that excited! I hope it won’t be a disappointment. 😛
Also I’m trying to wrap up Bpoop Paeh Leh Rak as soon as possible. (Keeping my finger crossed) And once I’m done with that, I’m going to consider another older lakorn to sub at similar pace too. I like to have an ongoing project to keep my subbing momentum going.

Also thanks to everyone who have left their “thanks” and “2cents” either at the blog or facebook. Your appreciations are fully received, your thoughts/comments/request are being pondered silently even though I usually don’t response. Well, that’s just me! 😛  Although some comments pissed me off when the answer is just right under the nose or could easily be answered by Mr.Google!  Sorry! I’m not a walking dictionary. I doesn’t have all the answer for you when it comes to lakorn or thai celebrity. Frankly I just started watching lakorn since 4-5 years ago. I might have watched even less lakorn than you do. So a lot of remake are actually new lakorn to me. 😀
Now I know what your next question going to be. LOL! No I’m not Thai and Thai language is not even a 2nd language to me. It’s a foreign language which I started learning 3 years ago just so I can watch lakorn without depending on subtitles. Yes! I do understand the frustration of waiting for eng sub. But keep in mind, there’s always solution to every problem. Just that some require more effort and time to solving it. I’ve solved mine, so could you! 😛 I’m still learning new words every day. That’s why I consider each lakorn that I pick up as a project or an assignment which to be completed in due time.
